As a theologian, doula, and birth photographer, I see the need for a spiritual rebirth in our culture.
At 1401 we tackle cultural norms through the unchanging lens of Jesus, holding space for others to engage with challenging theological truths in a clear and accessible way.

You do(ula) what?
1401 (Strongs Concordance): doula, servant, bondservant.
Original Word: δοῦλος
A doula is that special person who offers emotional support and guidance during the birth process, think of them as your "birth bestie"! They walk alongside women, offering encouragement during this transformative time. Interestingly, many biblical figures (INCLUDING MEN!!!) referred to themselves as doulas or bondservants to the Lord Jesus, showcasing their dedication to serving God's purpose above their own.
While I might not be an OG doula like the Apostle Paul, I, too, am 10-toes-down for Jesus. In this season, I aim to walk alongside the “big-C” Church, exploring challenging theological truths through the unchanging lens of Jesus, as we approach a cultural rebirth.
Birth bestie here, reporting for duty. 🫡
